World Custard Pie Throwing Championships took place in southern England

This year's event saw 120 competitors in 30 teams take part in fancy dress, with one coming from as far away as Japan, for the chance to chuck a foil plate full of a flour and water mix (not actual pies), and their opponents six feet away.
