COVID-19: Work and Pensions Secretary Therese Coffey 'entirely happy' with Universal Credit cut

In response to the COVID pandemic, the government introduced a temporary £20 increase to weekly Universal Credit payments. As the economy opens up, the government says it's shifting its focus to getting people back to work. However, some MPs have called for the increase to be permanent.

The £20-per-week boost to Universal Credit will come to an end in October.
