Woman who accused Conor McGregor of rape wins civil assault case and is awarded damages

Conor McGregor says he intends to appeal after a woman who accused him of rape has won a civil case against him.

The Irish mixed martial arts fighter has been ordered to pay Nikita Hand €248,603 (£206,000) in damages after a jury at Dublin's High Court found McGregor assaulted her in a Dublin hotel in 2018.
