Why is US secretary of state Antony Blinken going to China?
Blinken comes at a time when relations between the US and China are at the their lowest ebb for decades. It’s very unlikely the visit will bring any major breakthroughs, but it's hoped it will at least stop the relationship deteriorating any further.
