California: Huge sinkhole more than doubles in depth in a week following extreme weather in the US state

Extreme weather continues to hit California, causing mayhem with infrastructure and fatalities in the community. When this sinkhole first opened up it was 15ft deep - now it's 40ft, and is threatening pipes and cables below ground.

The original sinkhole swallowed two cars and injured people, now it has grown and sewer pipes, electricity and telecom cables are exposed and being rerouted.
