'No one is talking about conscription' says Chief of the Defence Staff after military chief warned Britain must train citizen army
Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said 'Britain is safe' and 'not on the cusp of war with Russia' during a speech at Chatham House. It comes as last week, the head of the Army said Britain should train a "citizen army" ready to fight a war on land in the future.
