NHS Strikes: Senior Doctors 'have a point' but a 35% pay rise 'is not affordable' says former health secretary

Consultants will today start voting on whether to strike in the continuing dispute over pay in the health service. The British Medical Association has claimed their take-home pay had declined by 35% since 2008/09.
