NHS Data: Government misses target of eliminating 18-month wait for routine treatment in England
Figures from NHS England show that nearly 11,000 people have been waiting more than a year and a half for planned care, such as knee and hip replacements. The data also shows that the number of people in England awaiting treatment has risen to a record high of 7.3 million.
