Newcastle: Disqualified driver Darren Jacques jailed for death of five-year-old Layton Darwood

Jacques was halfway through a 42-month suspension for drink-driving when he pulled up outside a shop in Newcastle to buy a bottle of beer. While he was inside the shop, the youngster jumped onto Jacque’s tailer – he fell off and died as Jacques drove away.
