M20 partially closed in 'emergency measure' due to enhanced port security checks

The M20 coastbound road between Junctions 8 and 9 is closed due to "enhanced port security checks", Kent Police have said. The force did not directly link the closure with escaped prisoner Daniel Abed Khalife, but it follows a warning by the Met to UK authorities, including those at ports.
