Junior doctors strikes: What are they asking for?
Today is Day One, of a four-day walk-out and it is expected to be the most disruptive in NHS history. As many as 350 thousand appointments are being cancelled, but the British Medical Association says the action is as much about patient safety, as it is about pay.
The British Medical Association is asking for a pay rise of 35% to bring salaries back to 2008-2009 levels, calling this "pay restoration".
