'It's heart-breaking': New report finds escaping poverty has become a distant prospect for millions in the UK

A new report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation estimates that over one in five people in the UK (22%) were in poverty in 2021/22. As a result baby banks, like this one in Hartlepool, are in more demand than ever.
