Heatwave: Extreme temperatures hit Europe, Asia, US

Wildfires in Europe raged ahead of a second heat wave that is set to send temperatures as high as 48C, while authorities in Japan and the US issued extreme heat-related health warnings, as the consequences of climate change, become more frequent, severe and deadly.
