Dubai hosts world's first ever jet suit race

Contestants said they needed to bear 35kg of fuel on their suits with each hand grasping a jet turbine weighing around 6.5kg. The "Iron Man pilot" race concluded with 22-year-old Briton Issa Kalfon emerging victorious and winning the "Golden Jet Turbine" trophy.

Eight participants from eight countries fired up their engines over the area between Dubai Harbour and Skydive Dubai.
