Biden: US Attorney General appoints a special counsel in 'ongoing' Hunter Biden investigation

The announcement came before prosecutors said in a court filing that plea negotiations with Hunter Biden's team on tax charges brought by US Attorney David Weiss's office had fallen apart and the case is now expected to go to trial.
