Assad picture torn down in Syria as rebels launch surprise offensive
Video of a man tearing down a picture of Bashar al Assad from the council building in a town less than 20 km away from Aleppo has circulated on social media. Government and opposition factions said that Syrian armed groups had launched an offensive on government-controlled areas.
