Archbishop of York tells Nigel Farage: Deportation-only approach 'not offering any long-term solution'

Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell rejected calls for an automatic deportation policy for people arriving in the UK unlawfully, warning that such “knee-jerk, isolationist” measures do nothing to tackle the root causes of migration and risk making the situation worse.
