A mystery knitter has been decorating post boxes with figures of key workers in a small Surrey village.
The first knitted creation appeared on a post box in West End, near Woking, a few weeks ago and more have been cropping up since.
"It's a mystery as to who is doing them - we have our very own Banksy!" said Lizzie Austin, who has spotted them on walks with her two children.
The knitted figures include NHS workers, bin collectors, firefighters and other key workers.
One shows an NHS nurse standing in front of a rainbow with the words "Thank you NHS".
Sarah Chambers Doyle, who has three young children, told Paste BN: "These knitted people provide so much fun for the kids to look out for on their walks when we go round the village.
"My husband and sister work for the NHS so they love spotting the NHS people."
People in the village say there has been plenty of speculation about the identity of the mystery knitter - but there's no doubt it has helped to bring the community together.
"It's someone's way of showing appreciation for key workers," said Gina Wilson.
"The community spirit is in our village and it's given everyone something to smile about."
