England fans across the country and further afield were united in disappointment as the Lionesses suffered an agonising 1-0 defeat to Spain.

England flags, shirts and bucket hats were donned as supporters flocked to pubs and bars for the 11am kick-off.

Fans in Benidorm, Spain had a warmer climate than many to enjoy the match, with supporters floating in the pool before Spain scored the only goal of the final.

Hearts raced as the minutes counted down and the scoreline remained at 1-0.

But it was not to be as England fans where left devastated, with some rogue Spain supporters celebrating among the crowds.
