It's been a huge day in the world of entertainment.

The momentum around Timothee Chalamet continues with the US actor making Oscars history as the youngest man to be nominated for best actor three times.

Chalamet was nominated first in 2018 for Call Me By Your Name and again last year for the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. He is the favourite to win the award at 2/9, according to Sky Bet.

Jessie Buckley is the favourite to win the best actress award, featuring in Hamnet, which received eight nominations. She is a 1/20 favourite while US actress Rose Byrne sits at 8/1.

One of the biggest blows today was for Wicked: For Good. The film featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo received zero nominations.

Vampire horror Sinners set an Oscars record with a whopping 16 nominations, beating All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2017), which were previously joint-top on 14.

Its lead star, Michael B Jordan, is up for best actor, while British stars Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku are up for best supporting actor and actress.

The Secret Agent's casting director says it's an 'immense honour' to receive nomination

The Neon-produced film, The Secret Agent, has received four Oscar nominations, and casting director Gabriel Domingues says, "it is an immense honour to receive this nomination".

The film is among Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another and Sinners as nominees for best casting nominees.

Here's Domingues's statement:

"It's a privilege to be nominated alongside the casting directors I have always looked up to.

"As the casting director, my work on The Secret Agent was guided by a singular theme: memory. Each character we cast, no matter how small, had to be rooted in authenticity and the specific reality of Brazil in 1977. The process required finding performers whose presence, faces, and inner lives could truthfully unlock the social, emotional, and historical layers of a precise moment and place in time.

"This nomination is especially meaningful because it recognises the ensemble as a whole, built through careful collaboration, trust, and openness to both established actors and new voices. I am deeply grateful to our maestro Kleber Mendonça Filho, our producer Emilie Lesclaux, the entire The Secret Agent team, and to NEON for championing the film. I am honoured that my peers in the Academy have recognized this work."
