A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in North Ayrshire - as detectives probe alleged footage of the fatal attack reportedly posted online.
Alan Lawson was assaulted at a property in Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend.
Mr Lawson, from Saltcoats, died in hospital on Tuesday.
A murder probe was launched following a post-mortem examination.
Police believe the 36-year-old was the victim of a "targeted attack" and have created an online portal in an appeal for information.
Police Scotland said officers are following a "positive line of inquiry" and are aware of social media content reportedly connected to the case.
Detective Chief Inspector Ally Semple said: "Officers continue to support Alan's family at this difficult time. They've requested their privacy be respected as they try to come to terms with what has happened."

Increased patrols are being carried out in the area as the inquiry continues.
DCI Semple thanked all those who have provided information so far but said officers "still need the public's help to establish exactly what happened" to Mr Lawson.
He added: "Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could be crucial to the investigation.
"I urge anyone who was in the Alexander Avenue area of Largs or around New England Road, Saltcoats, over the weekend and may have seen something suspicious to get in touch.
"Anyone in those areas with dashcam or private CCTV footage which could help should contact police immediately."
