Man arrested over fatal stabbing of boy, 16, in Birmingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Birmingham.

Abdullah Muhammad died at the scene after being attacked on Herbert Road in Small Heath at about 8pm on 20 February.

He was the second of three teenagers to die within two weeks following separate stabbings in the city.

The 19-year-old suspect is from Walsall.

Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, from West Midlands Police, said the arrest was a "significant step forward in our investigation".

He added: "I continue to appeal to anyone who has any information and has not yet come forward to contact us at the earliest opportunity."
