A father and son have been charged with keeping a man as a slave for two years.
Anthony Howard Baker, 48, and Harvey Baker, 19, are jointly charged with six counts of causing actual bodily harm to their alleged victim.
The father and son, from Jersey Marine, near Swansea, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Swansea Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
Abul Hussain, prosecuting, said the Bakers kept the 20-year-old victim as a slave for two years and used him as a worker.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Monday.
South Wales Police said the alleged victim was receiving hospital treatment and being supported by officers.
