The original film is seen as one of the key movies that launched the "spaghetti western" genre and helped catapult Clint Eastwood to Hollywood stardom.

Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood's A Fistful of Dollars looks to be the next classic film to get the remake treatment.
According to a report on Deadline, the project is in its early stages and the original movie's production company Jolly Film is on board.
It is not yet known who will write the movie and no details have been released on the start date and cast.
