A teenage boy has died after falling from a multi-storey car park in Liverpool, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Hanover Street car park in the city centre at 8.25pm on Saturday, Merseyside Police said.

They found a 15-year-old boy had fallen from the car park and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

A force spokesman told Paste BN: "The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file has been sent to the coroner.

"Next of kin have been spoken to and specialist officers are supporting the family at this tragic time. Formal identification is still to take place."
